Title: 5BLACKACIDEVIL

FINALLY after waiting a long ass time! New DANZIG scheduled to hit the stores Oct. 29th. I got an advance copy of the 5blackacidevil cd. I had heard the 3 song promo, and was shocked. That was nothing compared to what I was in for listening to the entire record.

This is definitely a new sound. The first time I heard it, it reminded me of the first time I heard Danzig I. I had been waiting for Danzig I hoping that it would sound like Samhain. I didn't like Danzig I the first time I heard it. I had to get use to the new sound. It sounded a lot more heavy-metal than Samhain. Well listening to the new record, 5blackacidevil, it felt the same. It sounded much more industrial than the Danzig 4p lp.

After the 2nd listen it sounded much better. I like the new sound. There is no other way to describe this record, but to say it is Danzig with an industrial, techo edge to it. At times it does remind me of Ministry or NIN , but still different than both those bands in a wicked way. I bet many people won't like it, but many should come to enjoy this new record.

My favorite tracks are: "7th House," "Blackacidevil," "See All You Were," "Sacrifice," "Serpentia," "Power of Darkness," and "Ashes." The other songs : "Hint of Her Blood," "Hand of Doom," and "Come to Silver" are just as good. I guess that leaves the entire record.

Hope you Creeps enjoy this crazy new sound. The tour should be real fun! Look for Danzig to hit the road in January. Feel free to send me your comments about this review and/or 5blackacidevil.
